Presentation of the final reports

On November 4, 2021, the final report of studies within the project - Strengthening Capacity of Civil Society for Expanded Social Services” (SuCCESS) was held.
In the framework of the project two national and international research reports were presented: Study of social service needs for vulnerable people (disabled and old aged) in project’s four target regions: Kakheti, Imereti, Guria, and Adjara and the study of the best European examples of social services. At the presentation, Georgian researcher Tamar Makharadze talked about the problems people with disabilities and the elderly in the regions face and will focus on their rights, tailored social services. International researcher Keiu Talve studied social services of the Baltic States, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands, Ireland, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Scotland.
The presentation was organized in a mixed manner at the Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace Conference Hall, also virtually via the Zoom Online Communications platform.
The event was attended by - the representatives of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia; Representatives of EU delegation in Georgia, Representative of the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Adviser of the President of Georgia on issues of Persons with Disabilities; local NGOs and organizations of persons with disabilities.
The project is financed and supported by the European Union and is being implemented by Association “Anika” in partnership with „Telavi Education, Development and Employment Center“ (TEDEC) since February 1, 2021. The project aims to strengthen the capacities of the Georgian civil society organizations for promoting the human rights and fundamental freedoms of the most vulnerable persons through capacity-building interventions.
